Dear Homeowner(s),

We hope that this finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy.  During these uncertain times, we have all experienced many changes and inconveniences in our fight to limit the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.  As our local, state and federal governments begin the task of opening our businesses and parks; we are all encouraged to continue the social distancing and washing practices that have helped keep us safe.

On May 5th, Governor Greg Abbott released an Executive Order that allows for opening public swimming pools with various stipulations, conditions and a 25% of maximum capacity restriction and as of May 18th the order was still in effect.

The Association has been consulting their attorneys and insurance company weekly to see how to proceed during this time. Due to concerns over safely meeting the restrictions and always with the safety and well-being of our families in mind, the Association has resolved not to open the pool and keep the playground closed due to the following concerns:
·         Liability if should someone falls ill due to the COVID-19
·         Social Distancing, enforcement
·         Enforcement of 25% capacity order within the pool area
·         Disinfecting of front entry gate, pool furniture & restrooms

Since we are unable to properly ensure steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We will continue to monitor this situation weekly and provide updates as the situation changes.

Thanks for your cooperation,
Sterling ASI on behalf of Brazos Landing Residential Association
